Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Enters and manages purchase orders from customers with precision and attention to detail.
  • Proactively monitors order statuses, anticipates potential issues, and communicates solutions to customers through weekly status reports.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations, ensures timely and professional resolution through emails and over the phone.
  • Collaborates with Salespeople, Logistics Coordinators, and Accounting Teams to align priorities, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Manages and expedites mill release and shipment schedules to meet customer demand; coordinates with Logistics and Import Coordinators to optimize delivery times.
  • Maintains accurate data in ERP/CRM systems and generates reports on order accuracy, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction. Uses metrics to improve individual performance and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors and reports inventory levels to ensure product availability and order fulfillment; reconciles invoices monthly and investigates discrepancies with Accounting Team.
  • Collects and communicates customer feedback to relevant departments; recommends process improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and contributes to team training and development.
  • Maintains baseline technical knowledge of product lines and industry standards.
  • Monitors and consistently increases customer satisfaction as the face of Metal Exchange.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

  • Proven experience in customer service, sales support, or a related field.

  • Is comfortable with the MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams).
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.
  • Must have regular attendance.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
